One person was seriously injured Monday morning (August 27) after a two-vehicle crash that occurred in Northwest Lubbock.

Lubbock Police say the accident occurred just after 9 a.m. at the intersection of 4th Street and Toledo Avenue. A car was making a left turn at the intersection when an SUV ran the red light, striking the car. The car struck a brick fence and wound up in a ditch.

All three occupants in the car were taken to University Medical Center, two with minor injuries and the third with serious injuries. The driver of the SUV suffered minor injuries and was cited for running the red light.
