Two people are confirmed dead following a plane crash Saturday.

The single-engine Cessna 182 left from Snyder bound for Ruidoso, New Mexico’s Sierra Blanca Regional Airport. No flight plan was filed for the flight, and the plane was reported as missing on Tuesday.

The wreckage of the plane was found about 37 miles west of Roswell before noon Wednesday. One killed in the crash was the pilot, 49-year-old Jerry Don Greene of Hermleigh. Investigators have not determined what caused the crash, and the name of the other victim has not been released as of yet.

According to Federal Aviation Administration records, the plane was registered to JD and KAT Limited in Snyder. KFYO will keep you updated as more information is released.
