Two men have been arrested following a vehicle burglary.

Just before 5 a.m. Monday, August 26th, Lubbock Police officers were called to a vehicle burglary in progress in the 5800 block of 13th Street.

As officers arrived, they saw suspects running from the area, which caused them to set up a perimeter and call in the K-9 unit to conduct a search.

Officer Cook and his K-9 Robbie found 19-year-old Thomas Garcia hiding in a tree in the 5900 block of 15th Street.

Shortly after Garcia was found, dispatch notified officers on scene that home owners from a home in the 5900 block of 15th Street were holding the second suspect, 24-year-old Vincent Sandoval, at gunpoint in their backyard.

The two were taken into custody. Both Garcia and Sandoval have been charged with Vehicle Burglary, Evading Arrest, and Criminal Trespass.
