Kicking off Youth Art Month this March, Lubbock ISD will celebrate the artistic endeavors of their students and feature a slew of creations in Hub City galleries. Here is what LISD has on the docket this week:

The new social media campaign created by students at Lubbock ISD, Frenship ISD and Lubbock Cooper ISD centered around students helping students will be unveiled Tuesday, March 1st. The presentation will take place at 10 a.m. at the Louise Hopkins Underwood Center for the Arts located at 511 Avenue K.

On Thursday, March 3rd, an art gathering in recognition of Youth Art Month will take place at the Legacy Event Center at 1500 4th St. The reception will last from 5:30-7 p.m. and will feature the art created by students in grades 6-12. If you can't make the reception, the exhibit will be up all month long.

Beginning at Noon on Friday, March 4th and lasting through Thursday March 24th, the Texas Tech Art Building will display art created by Lubbock ISD students. The Texas Tech Art Building is located at 2802 18th St. on the corner of 18th and Flint Avenue.

In addition, the Tornado Gallery display window at 1822 Buddy Holly Avenue will feature the creations of Irons Middle School students for the Friday Night Art Trail.
