The drama surrounding Texas Tech Head Men’s Basketball Billy Gillispie continues.

Texas Tech Athletic Director Kirby Hocutt told Nick Kosmider of RedRaiders.com that the embattled coach is not to engage with the program at this time until Hocutt and Gillispie meet.

“At this time, (Gillispie) is not making day-to-day decisions related to our men’s basketball program,” Hocutt said. “Nor is he to engage with our program in any way until he and I have a chance to sit down and talk face to face.”

Hocutt and Gillispie were supposed to meet the morning of Aug. 31 to discuss allegations of player mistreatment and potential NCAA secondary violations stemming from exceeding practice-time limits.

Yesterday, Gillispie was placed on indefinite sick leave by the university. Another twist in this story is a report from Betsy Blaney of the Associated Press reporting this afternoon that an ambulance was seen at the home of Gillispie yesterday evening.
