The Dallas Cowboys just did something awesome that proves why they're America's Team.

They had 100 kids from the Salvation Army in AT&T Stadium for the Ultimate Sleepover, with a bonus. The kids got to keep the beds.

There are so many less fortunate kids and families in the Metroplex area that its nearly impossible to help them all. But it's not impossible. And the Dallas Cowboys, along with the Hope to Dream Charity started by the DFW-area Ashley Furniture owners, had a sleepover for around 100 kids on the field at the stadium.

The kids got to take the beds and everything home with them, which is especially awesome since they didn't have beds of their own.

It's sad enough to think of kids going without. But to not even have a bed to sleep on at night is just heartbreaking. Thank you to Hope to Dream, the Dallas Cowboys and the Levitz Family for making a difference in a child's life.

Maybe we could do something similar here in Lubbock.
