Thursday on KFYO Mornings with Dave King and Matt Martin, the Car Pro Jerry Reynolds joined Dave and Matt to talk about his test drive of the week, as well as some news with General Motors, and more.

This week The Car Pro was driving the 2019 Ford Edge ST, which Ford calls its first performance SUV. Jerry doesn't think it quite fits that title, but was still happy with the car. The Edge ST has 335 horses, which is 20 more than last year, a new suspension, and good handling. Jerry says it has a nice color, good wheels, and a nice interior that's not too luxurious. He also said it drives well, is quiet inside, and sounds great in sport mode. Reynold's biggest complaints were the gas mileage not being great, and the $52,000 price.

"I don't think it's going to be a huge seller, but I think Ford will do well with this, just to the right people."

The Car Pro also talked about stories on his website carprousa.com, the main one being the situation with General Motors. Reynolds explained that GM is laying off almost 18,000 employees and closing 5 plants, a strange decision after their best quarterly performance ever. Jerry called this a bad PR move, especially with this happening right before the end of the year. He believes GM did this to try and amass funds to put into autonomous and electric vehicles, which he believes there is not a market for.
