Texas Woman Sentenced for Murder of Second Suitor
A Texas woman has been sentenced for murdering a second suitor after being allowed to claim self-defense when killing a first.
Beatrice Ann Ibanez plead no contest to murder in 2011.
Ibanez first told police that she killed Ramirez in self-defense, but later admitted to stabbing him in his sleep.
Ibanez was investigated in the 1996 stabbing death of Jesse R. Cardenas, but police bought her story when she told them she had stabbed him in self-defense, and murder charges were dropped.
Ibanez was sentenced to 30 years.
