Texas Tech’s women’s volleyball team will face off against the Kansas State Wildcats this weekend.

The Lady Raiders volleyball team is only 8-26 against Kansas State, with losses in the last 12 matches against the Wildcats. Their last win against Kansas State was in November 2004, and their last win at home against that particular team was in 2001.

In Big 12 play, Tech was defeated by 16th-ranked Iowa State and 25th-ranked Oklahoma. They also lost to Baylor last Wednesday.

Lady Raider volleyball had only 11 wins to their name over the past three years prior to the arrival of head coach Don Flora. Flora, who took the position in January of 2011, surpassed that win total in mid-September.

Following the game versus the Wildcats, Tech will face 10th-ranked Texas on Wednesday night in Austin, and Missouri on Saturday. They will be back in the United Spirit Arena on October 19th, as they play the Texas A&M Aggies.
