Texas Tech Women’s Tennis Named to All-Academic Team
Tech’s women’s tennis team has been honored for the academic accomplishments of its players.
The Red Raider women’s tennis team has been named as an Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-Academic Team, along with five others from the Big 12.
This is the fourth straight season that the women’s tennis team has been awarded this particular honor.
The ITA honor is awarded to teams with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.2 or above.
Four members of the team have also earned scholar-athlete honors due to their grade point averages. Samantha Adams, Lorena Aviles, Kelsy Garland, and Caroline Starck were the athletes honored for their academic prowess.
