The Texas Tech Women’s Rodeo Team last weekend placed fourth at the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper, Wyoming.

All four team members gained points in their respective events of barrel racing, goat tying and breakaway calf roping.

The women’s team included:

  • Goat Tying: Bailey Guthrie, a junior pre-physical therapy major from Rigby, Idaho.
  • Barrel Racing: Taylor Langdon, a sophomore radiology major from Aubrey.
  • Barrel Racing: Hayley Nelson, a junior English major from Channing.
  • Breakaway Calf Roping: Kirsten Stubbs, a sophomore agriculture and applied economics major from Eldorado.

The Men’s Rodeo Team finished up their season 19th in the nationwide standings.

More than 400 cowboys and cowgirls from over 100 universities and colleges nationwide compete in Casper each year.
