The Texas Tech Red Raider basketball team returns to action on Saturday when they travel to Waco to battle rival, Baylor. The Red Raiders enter the game looking to break their four game losing streak. Tip off for the game is set for 7 p.m.

The Red Raiders enter the game on their four game losing streak with all of the losses coming at the hands of ranked opponents. The four game losing streak includes top ranked Kansas, 2nd ranked Texas, 20th ranked Missouri and 21st ranked Texas A&M. The Red Raiders are currently 11-15 on the season and 3-8 in the Big 12.

The Baylor Bears enter the game at 17-8 on the season and are 6-5 in Big 12 play. The Bears also enter the game coming off of a 14 point victory over NAIA opponent Wayland Baptist. Baylor beat Wayland 64-50 on Tuesday to wrap up their non-conference play. The Bears are 4-1 at home during conference play.

This Saturday’s match will be the 121st meeting between the two schools with the Red Raiders holding the all-time series lead at 74-46. This series dates back to 1937. The Bears hold the series lead in Waco at 30-27. This will also be the 2nd, and final, meeting between the two teams this season during conference play. The Bears beat the Red Raiders 71-59 for Tech’s Big 12 opener here in Lubbock on January 8th.
