A Texas Tech volleyball match has been cancelled.

Texas Tech and New Mexico mutually agreed to cancel their November 9th match at the United Spirit Arena, according to head coach Don Flora.

The match was to be part of a Friday doubleheader that would also feature the men’s basketball season opener against Prairie View A&M. The match was to be Tech’s final non-conference contest of the year.

“New Mexico approached us with what was best for their program and we agreed to move the match to the 2013 season,” said Flora. “They had a special circumstance arise and we were willing to work with them.”

The Red Raiders will now have a week off between their November 7th home match against TCU and a Nov. 14th road game at Texas.
