Texas Tech has expanded their search for their next president to the internet.

The Texas Tech search committee for the next president unveiled a new website, aimed at attracting and identifying top candidates for the position.

Applications will be accepted until the position is filled, but the applications must be submitted by November 21st to ensure that full consideration is given by the search committee.

“To find the best of the best, we must have a large pool of strong candidates,” said Jerry Turner, chairman of the presidential search committee. “We hope the site will encourage nominations from the public and help to ensure the search committee casts a wide net in its efforts to identify candidates for the next president.”

The website is www.texastech.edu/ttupresidentsearch. The new president will replace Guy Bailey, who took a position as president of the University of Alabama. Lawrence Schovanec is serving as interim president.
