Texas Tech University has named a new associate vice president for research.

Patricia R. DeLucia was appointed Friday, November 14, by Chancellor Robert Duncan.

“Dr. DeLucia has done an excellent job in our office,” Duncan said. “As a faculty member, she understands the needs of her colleagues. She will be a great addition to the administrative team in the Office of the Vice President for Research, and I look forward to our continuing work together.”

According to the university, DeLucia joined the Office of the Vice President for Research in April with responsibilities of recognition opportunities and awards for faculty members. She will now continue in this capacity as well as teaching and researching in the Department of Psychological Sciences.
