Texas Tech will participate in a national event next week.

On Monday, November 11th, Texas Tech will participate in the Remembrance National Roll Call 2013 to honor the men and women who have served the United States.

The event will begin at 12:30 p.m. on Veterans Day at Memorial Circle on the Texas Tech campus, and a national minute of silence will be held at 1 p.m.

At the ceremony, Tech will help raise awareness with a roll call of names that will be read to celebrate those who have served and are currently serving in the U.S. military.

The National Roll Call is an event held to reflect and raise awareness throughout college campuses about the sacrifices made by veterans.

So far, 85 colleges and universities in 33 states have taken the pledge to participate in this year’s event.
