Texas Tech to Hold Groundbreaking For New Petroleum Engineering Building

Groundbreaking for a new Texas Tech research building will be held this week.

The ceremony breaking ground for the Texas Tech Petroleum Engineering Research building will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, October 5^th, in the northeast corner of the engineering key.

The $20 million project will house 40,000 square feet of formal teaching environments with hands-on applications and research facilities.

The event is open to the public, and will be followed by a reception at the groundbreaking site.

Chancellor Kent Hance, Engineering Dean Al Sacco, and others will make remarks at the event.
