A Texas Tech program is helping to educate students about finances.

Texas Tech’s Red to Black, an outreach program of Texas Tech’s Personal Financial Planning group, is celebrating their 7th annual Financial Education Week.

Financial Education Week will include activities, workshops, prizes, and free food planned from March 26th through the 30th.

Events such as the Money Jump, Financial Check-up, Money Habitudes, and Increasing Your Credit Score will be held in different areas across the Texas Tech campus during the week.

“With the most recent financial crisis and recession, now more than ever, we have to be in control of our finances,” said Sasha Whitley, Financial Education Week marketing co-chair. “So our goal is just that.”
