Texas Tech to Commemorate 75th Anniversary of Victory Bells Monday

Texas Tech will be celebrating the anniversary of some very important university fixtures.
Tech, with the help of the Saddle Tramps, will commemorate the 75th anniversary of the first time the Victory Bells pealed after a game win.
The Victory Bells were given as a gift to Texas Tech in 1936, and rang for the first time following the Red Raider football team’s 26 to 7 win over Texas Wesleyan on September 19th, 1936.
The anniversary ringing will take place on Monday from 2:50 to 3:05 p.m. The Saddle Tramps are also celebrating their 75th anniversary this year as well.
