The Texas Tech Softball team has received votes in the final top 25 polls.

The program received votes in both of the major collegiate softball polls Tuesday, finishing among the top 30 teams nationwide.

The Red Raider softball team finished in 26th place in the USA Softball poll, just four votes short of 25th place.

The team finished tied for 28th place in the USA Today/National Fastpitch Coaches Association rankings.

This is the third year in a row and the fifth time in school history that Tech ended their season receiving votes in one of the two major polls. Their highest ranking was between the 1998 and 1999 campaigns with a 24th overall ranking.

The team concluded the year 41-17 overall, after making their third-straight postseason trip to the NCAA Washington Regional.
