Texas Tech’s soccer team has moved up to their highest ranking in program history.

Red Raider soccer has been ranked 23rd in the NSCAA rankings for this week, up one spot from last week.

The new ranking comes after the Red Raiders went 2-0 to open the 2013 season with victories over New Mexico and Colorado State last weekend.

Tech beat New Mexico 1-0 in the season opener in Albuquerque, and defeated Colorado State 6-0 at home on Sunday.

The Red Raiders next face Idaho State on Friday and Long Beach State on Sunday at the John Walker Soccer Complex as part of their season-long five match homestand. First kick for Friday is at 7 p.m.

Tech has won 12 of its last 13 matches at home dating back to October 2011.
