The Texas Tech School of Music will present an annual summer concert.

The 30th Annual Lubbock Jazz Festival Summer Concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 25th.

The event will be held in the Texas Tech Student Union Allen Theatre.

The 23-person ensemble consists of local professional players, Texas Tech students and faculty.

This year’s concert is the final year that Alan Shinn, professor of percussion and associate director for undergraduate students, will lead the Texas Tech Summer Big Band for the festival concert.

This year’s theme is “Keep the Customer Satisfied,” and will feature renditions of “Summertime,” Billie Holiday’s “Mean to Me,” and more.

The performance is free and open to the public.
