A Texas Tech cross country runner has received an accolade.

Kennedy Kithuka has been officially named to the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Region Team.

Kithuka continued a perfect season last week, finishing first overall at the Mountain Regional meet, and automatically qualified for the NCAA Championships in Louisville, Kentucky.

He has captured two NAIA National Championships, and is unbeaten in six meets this season. Kithuka, a junior transfer from Wayland Baptist University, has also been named Big 12 Runner of the Week twice by the conference.
