A Texas Tech track and field athlete has won yet another weekly conference honor.

Red Raider senior Kennedy Kithuka has been named as the Big 12 Runner of the Week, marking the fourth time he has received the honor this season and the seventh time in his career.

The Thika, Kenya native was also named as the Men’s Division I Runner of the Week by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association, which is the second National Athlete of the Week recognition by the organization.

According to Tech athletics, Kithuka has now won 12-straight races dating back to his 2012 debut.

Kithuka and the Tech cross country program will participate in the Big 12 Championship meet on November 2nd in Waco.
