Texas Tech University will host their annual triathlon in September.


Texas Tech’s Recreation Center will host their 15th annual Rec Triathlon on Saturday, September 7, at the Robert H. Ewalt Student Recreation Center.

There will be both competitive and recreational divisions available. The competitive division will consist of a 400 meter swim, 12 mile cycle and a two and a half mile run. The recreational division will consist of a 300 meter swim, 9 mile cycle and a two mile run. Both divisions are open to individuals and teams.

The swimming component will take place in the leisure pool and the cycling and running components will take place throughout the Tech campus.
Entry fees will cost $33 for Texas Tech students and $43 for others competing individually. Texas Tech teams will cost $60 and community teams will cost $80.
