Veterans of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are returning civilian life.  Some are going to college.  As a result, Texas Tech is reaching out to those veterans.

The program is called MVP – Military and Veterans Program.  According to an article  on Tech’s website, the program has become a staple at the university after just 18 months.  Ryan Van Dusen, the assistant director of MVP, describes the program this way:

“We are here to make sure students and their families achieve academic and personal success.  It gives veterans a primary point of contact on campus.  We make sure to get them the right resources on campus…and help them get pointed in the right direction.”
