A new coach will take over for Texas Tech’s Pom Squad soon.

Erin Harold will begin her new position as the Red Raider Pom Squad coach on April 2nd. She comes to Texas Tech from West Virginia University.

Harold, a WVU graduate, has coached for three years and earned two consecutive National Dance Alliance collegiate national championships. The Wheeling, West Virginia native also is on staff with the National Dance Alliance as an instructor, choreographer, and adjudicator.

“Erin brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to this position,” said Stephanie Rhode, director of the spirit program in the Center for Campus Life.

Harold said “I can’t wait to get started working with the Texas Tech Pom Squad, and hope to continue to make all of the fans and supporters proud of this team not only in the community, but in the national spotlight as well.”

She also recently choreographed a production for Broadway Cares, an HIV/AIDS fundraising organization.
