Christi Chadwell, the Communications and Recruiting Coordinator for the Plant and Soil Sciences Department at Texas Tech joined Lubbock's First News on Wednesday (July 22nd).

Christi handles student services, applications for the departments degree programs and helps to promote events for the department.

The fall semester is only about a month away but the spring semester is really what the department is open for right now for all of their undergraduate and graduate programs.

"One really unique thing about our department is pretty much all of our degree options we offer online as well as on campus," Chadwell said. "That's really exciting for a lot of our students. Especially ones that maybe need to work full time while they're going to school. Maybe they have a family or some other commitments that really don't allow them to be in the classroom as much as our traditional college students."
