Wednesday on Lubbock's First News, Dr. Cynthia McKenney joined Robert Snyder and Laura Mac to talk about Texas Tech's greenhouse plant sale occurring this Friday. The event is a fundraiser for Tech's Plant and Soil Science department. On sale will be ornamental, vegetable, annual and perennial plants, as well as floral arrangements from Tech's floral design class.

The sale takes place this Friday, May 1st at the Texas Tech greenhouse (located next to the United Spirit Arena), beginning at 7:30 a.m. and will last until approximately 3:00 or 4:00 p.m. Checks and cash will be accepted forms of payment.

Dr. Cynthia McKenney is Associate Chair and Rockwell Endowed Professor of Horticulture in Plant and Soil Science from Texas Tech University's Department of Plant and Soil Science.
