Texas Tech officials will meet with a Nigerian officeholder and representatives from a Nigerian university.

Texas Tech Chancellor Kent Hance, along with Vice Chancellor Joe Rallo and Ambassador Tibor Nagy will meet with Oyo Executive Governor Abiola Ajimobi, Acting Pro-Chancellor Oladopo Afolabi and other Nigerian federal and Oyo state officials.

Afolabi is the acting pro-chancellor of The Technical University, located in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria.

The meeting will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the Chancellor’s Office, as Hance and Ajimobi will sign a memorandum of understanding to explore future partnership opportunities between the institutions.

Nigeria is the most populous nation in Africa, and has the second-largest economy in Africa. They produce more than 2.5 million barrels of oil per day, making them the world’s sixth-largest producer.
