A new doctoral program is now an option for students attending Texas Tech University’s College of Education.

The doctoral option in Curriculum and Instruction offers a specialization in science education for those who require distance learning. The Ph.D. is intended for those wishing to work in science education at a university level or as a supervisor of a school district.

Applicants for the distance learning program must have a master’s in science education or a similar field and three years in k-12 science education. The course is mostly online in exception to two on-campus weeks during each summer and a three day conference each spring for three years (2013-2015).
