Texas Tech’s School of Music is presenting “A Little Night Music.”

Their music theatre program is presenting the musical, based on Ingmar Bergman’s 1955 Swedish film “Smiles of a Summer Night.”

Music and lyrics for the musical were written by Stephen Sondheim, and book by Hugh Wheeler, the story contains the song “Send in the Clowns.”

The story is focused on the romantic lives of several couples, and people whose lives are intertwined by the past.

Performances are directed by Gerald Dolter, director of Texas Tech music theatre, and the set designer is Tim Walsh. The University Symphony Orchestra will provide accompaniment.

The musical deals with adult themes and language, so discretion is advised.

Performances will be held at 7 p.m. on November 16th and 17th, and 2 p.m. November 18th in Tech's Allen Theatre, located inside the Student Union Building.

Tickets are priced at $15 for the public, $13 for seniors, and $10 for students and children. They are available for purchase through Select-A-Seat by calling 770-2000, at www.selectaseatlubbock.com, or other locations, such as many United Supermarkets.
