Texas Tech Move-In Weekend Begins August 18th

Texas Tech’s residence halls will be filled with students during move-in weekend later this month.

Seven thousand residence hall students will move into Texas Tech dormitories beginning Sunday, August 18^th at 10 a.m.

According to Visit Lubbock, students will have the opportunity to participate in a number of Raider Welcome events from Monday, August 19^th through Saturday, August 24^th to give students opportunities to become familiar with campus departments and Lubbock businesses.

“Move-in weekend is a high energy, exciting time on campus as we welcome thousands of Red Raiders to their new home in Lubbock,” said Craig Kuehnert, manager of student leadership development for Texas Tech Student Housing.

Kuehnert continued, saying “University Student Housing and our many campus partners across the Texas Tech community have worked diligently to prepare for the arrival of our new students, and we are all excited for a weekend of fun activities.”

The first day of classes for the 2013 fall semester is Monday, August 26^th.
