The Texas Tech Track and Field program for both men and women remain in the Top 20.

The Red Raiders have been ranked at 16th and the Lady Raiders placed 15th, marking the fourth consecutive week this season that both squads have been ranked in the top 20.

The placements come from the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association computer rankings.

The Red Raiders have been ranked in the top 20 of each regular season poll for 35 consecutive weeks and in the top 25 for 49 consecutive weeks dating back to 2008.

The Lady Raiders have appeared in the top 25 of every regular season poll beginning at the start of the 2012 season.

“It’s great to see both the men’s and women’s teams earn recognition,” said head coach Wes Kittley. “More than anything, it just helps us build momentum as we progress further into the season.”

Athletes from Tech will participate in four separate meets this weekend, including the Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut, California, the Azusa Pacific Bryan Clay Invitational, the Long Beach State Invitational, and the Baylor Michael Johnson Classic.
