Texas Tech to Play LSU at the Texas Bowl
Kliff Kingsbury's Red Raiders will take on Les Miles' Tigers at the AdvoCare V100 Texas Bowl in Houston on Tuesday, December 29, 2015.
The game against LSU (8-3) will mark Texas Tech's (7-5) 37th all-time appearance in a bowl game.
"We are excited about the opportunity to play in the AdvoCare V100 Texas Bowl," Head Coach Kliff Kingsbury said. "The AdvoCare V100 Texas Bowl has a reputation for providing a phenomenal experience for their teams. LSU is a good football team and we will have to play our best."
The dream trio of quarterback Patrick Mahomes, running back DeAndre Washington and receiver Jakeem Grant have played an integral part in improving the Red Raiders this season. The team's offense is ranked no. 2 nationally in scoring offense, total offense and passing offense.
During Texas Tech's recent win against Texas in Austin, Washington surpassed Michael Crabtree to set a new school record for receiving yards.
Kickoff for the 2015 Texas Bowl is scheduled for 8 p.m. CT on Tuesday, December 29.
