Texas Tech Law Students Advance to National Competition

Two Texas Tech University School of Law students will advance to nationals after winning at a regional counseling competition. Third-year students James Garrett and Meghan Graham won at the American Bar Association Law Student Division Client Counseling Competition. Coached by Professor Charles P. Bubany, the team competed February 11^th in the consultation based competition, in which teams demonstrate their client counseling skills.

“The reason I like this competition is that it involves what every lawyer does – interviewing and counseling clients,” Bubany said. “And I’ve found out in coaching that there is a lot more to it than people think.” The pair will face up against 11 other teams on March 16^th and 17^th for the National title in North Carolina.
