Texas Tech has some of the happiest university employees in the nation, according to one article.

Texas Tech was ranked third in the nation for having the “Happiest Employees,” according to a recent article by CareerBliss.

Texas Tech’s “overall BlissScore” was 4.37 out of 5. Tech was only outperformed by Auburn University and Carnegie Mellon University.

CareerBliss says that the data used evaluates key factors that affect work happiness such as work-life balance, relationship with one’s boss and coworkers, compensation, company reputation, and more.

The rankings were based on reviews submitted to CareerBliss.com by university employees.

“Texas Tech would not be what it is without the support of the thousands of faculty, staff, and student employees who support our mission of educating students,” said Texas Tech President M. Duane Nellis. “We are thrilled to be ranked so high, and we will strive to continue to provide a happy and healthy working environment for all our fellow Red Raiders.”
