Darrin Chiaverini will return home to the University of Colorado where he played as a student-athlete in the late 90's. Chiaverini was the outside receiver coach and special teams coordinator for Texas Tech, he accepted the Co-OC position at the University of Colorado and recruiting coordinator.

With the departures of Chiaverini and Mike Jinks, Kliff Kingsbury and Eric Morris will be the lone survivors on the offensive staff. Chiaverini and Jinks will stay on through the bowl game.

On defense David Gibbs and Zac Spavital are the few left behind after the house cleaning that took place after the end of the regular season.

That is a lot of turnover for a coaching staff that needs consistency, especially on defense.

There has been no hindrance to the recruiting class, so far. It was a great plan to get 26 hard commits before almost complete turnover on this coaching staff. Currently ranked 4th in the Big 12 the Red Raiders have to hold tight to the players already committed.

Maybe Tech hires a high school coach to swing a 4 or 5 star recruit or 2.

It's not time to panic yet but this type of turnover on the staff could inhibit the momentum gained from 2015 campaign.
