Late Wednesday, Texas Tech Football announced that head coach Kliff Kingsbury filled the final two spots on his coaching staff.

Karl Scott has been hired to serve as cornerbacks coach and former NFL running back DeShaun Foster will serve as running backs coach.

“We are extremely excited to add Coach Scott and Coach Foster to our staff,” Kingsbury said. “They are both bright and energetic coaches and will be valuable additions to our program.”

Scott coached under Skip Holtz at Louisiana Tech in 2015. Before that, he coached for three years at Southeastern Louisiana.

Foster previously worked at UCLA as a member of their football support staff, but noth their coaching staff.  At UCLA, Foster served as the Director of Player Development & High School Relations.

Foster played seven years in NFL and was a second round pick by the Carolina Panthers in the 2002 NFL Draft.  He was the Panthers starting running back in Super Bowl XXXVIII versus the New England Patriots.
