The Texas Tech University Board of Regents will meet this week and hear updates from a new task force and may approve a new construction project.

The Friday, October 10, meeting will take place in the Matador Room of Texas Tech’s Student Union Building.

The Facilities and Finance and Administration committees’ agenda items include approval of a 30,000 square foot addition to the Rawls College of Business building and an $8.1 million budget adjustment to match funds from the Texas Research Inventive Program for research related expenditures.

During open session, Dr. Juan Munoz will report on the first meeting of Tech’s new Task Force on Greek Organization Culture, which was created following controversy involving Tech’s chapter of Phi Delta Theta.

Other agenda items include the approval of a seal for Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center at El Paso.
