Texas Tech’s annual football game against Baylor will remain in the Metroplex for now.

The universities reached a two-year agreement with the Dallas Cowboys to keep the game there through 2014.

The Texas Farm Bureau Shootout moved to the Metroplex in 2009 when the Red Raiders and the Bears squared off in Cowboys Stadium. The series continued at the Cotton Bowl Stadium in 2010, and then back to Arlington for 2011 and 2012.

Family Weekend and Homecoming dates have been announced for the 2013 season as well. The Red Raiders will play Texas State on Family Weekend, slated for September 21st, 2013, and the Homecoming game will be against the Iowa State Cyclones on October 12, 2013.

The Red Raiders’ season is nearly over, as the team will play against Minnesota at Reliant Stadium in Houston on December 28th in the Meineke Car Care Bowl. Tech will be coached by current offensive line coach Chris Thomsen.

Next season, the Red Raider football team will be coached by former Texas Tech Quarterback Kliff Kingsbury.
