Texas Tech Basketball to Host Two More Community Outreach Camps Saturday

Texas Tech Basketball will be hosting more community outreach camps for area kids.

Tech Head Basketball Coach Billy Gillispie and the Red Raider basketball team will be hosting the community outreach camps tomorrow at Premier Sportsplex, located at 9000 Memphis Drive.

The camps are for children in first through sixth grade and the cost is $10 per child. The first camp will run from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and the second is from noon until 2 p.m.

These camps are aimed to provide an opportunity for youth to receive basketball instruction from players and coaches, and to focus on the fundamentals of the game.

Gillispie said “Along with teaching the fundamentals of the game, we strive to be an example for being successful in everyday life.”

This is the sixth outreach camp hosted by Tech basketball this summer.
