One Red Raider sports team is among the top in the nation in attendance.

The Texas Tech baseball team moved into the top 20 in the nation in division 1 baseball average home attendance, according to Texas Tech.

The team has averaged 2,795 fans per home game through 16 games this season while ranking 20th in the country. So far, 44,720 fans have attended games at Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park.

Last weekend, 10,936 fans packed the park, marking the highest attendance in a three-game series at home since 2010.

Tech’s average attendance currently ranks third among the Big 12, passed only by the University of Texas and Texas A&M.

This is the 16th consecutive season that the Red Raiders have ranked in the top 31 in total home attendance.
