Texas Tech baseball is able to head back to Texas with a victory in the final game of a non-conference midweek series in Florida.

The Red Raiders managed to beat Florida International University 8-6 Tuesday afternoon during the final game of the series.

The Red Raiders scored all of their runs in two frames, while plating two runs in the first, and getting a home run from catcher Mason Randolph and a two-run double from freshman Tyler Neslony to spark a six-run sixth inning.

Tech played three games in Orlando last weekend, and completed a two-game series with FIU in Miami.

Texas Tech will begin a three-game homestand late this week. They’ll host La Salle on Friday, March 1st at 6:30 p.m. at Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park.
