Texas Tech baseball manages to claim a win against Arizona Wednesday afternoon.

Tech used five runs in the seventh inning to defeat No. 16 Arizona 5-2 in the midweek series finale at Hi Corbett Field in Tucson.

The Red Raiders knocked off their first nationally-ranked opponent of the season.

They began the series with a 6-2 loss against Arizona on Tuesday.

Tech will next begin a five-game homestand, taking on UT Arlington in a three-game series beginning Friday evening in Lubbock at 6:30 p.m. They’ll then take on Utah Valley on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week.
