Texas Tech Adds Food Truck to Campus Dining Options
Texas Tech University is adding a new gastrointestinal attraction to its campus.
Capitalizing on the ever popular quick and easy street food Texas Tech University’s Hospitality Services has crafted a new food truck for campus goers. The new StrEat food truck is the first school-owned food truck in the Big 12 Conference.
The StrEat franchise already has an existing location in Tech’s Student Union Building. However, the truck will have a menu that changes monthly. The menu will also feature Hospitality Service’s Head Chef Dewey McMurrey’s specialty pita tacos and Monte Cristo sandwiches.
“The StrEat food truck menu allows our culinary team to stay creative and diverse with what we serve on campus,” McMurrey said. “We will be able to change and add unique menu choices throughout the year.”
According to Texas Tech, the food truck will begin making its rounds this fall to a variety of undetermined locations throughout campus. It will be open Mondays through Fridays.
