On Tuesday's edition of Lubbock's First News, Texas Secretary of State Nandita Berry spoke with Tom Collins and Laura Mac about today's primary elections.

Today is Election Day for many statewide candidates who went into a runoff after the first primary election in March. The statewide GOP races include David Dewhurst and Dan Patrick for Texas Lieutenant Governor, Dan Branch and Ken Paxton for Texas Attorney General, Wayne Christian and Ryan Sitton for Texas Railroad Commissioner, and Tommy Merritt and Sid Miller for Texas Agriculture Commissioner. The local races includes Gary Vaughn and Ann-Marie Carruth for Justice of the Peace Precinct 4.

Berry reminded everyone that polls will be open until 7 PM today, and that the photo ID law will be in effect for this election. For a complete list of polling locations, visit votetexas.gov.
