Portions of the South Plains and Texas Panhandle received snow and rain showers late Monday night and through the morning hours on Tuesday.

The precipitation along with rapidly dropping temperatures this evening will cause road conditions to worsen in areas of the Northeast South Plains and Texas Panhandle including Floyd, Motley, Briscoe, Swisher, and Hall counties.

The weather station at the KFYO Studios recorded 0.30 inches of precipitation today while other areas of the South Plains and Panhandle receiving more.
