Texas Governor Rick Perry has added two new members to his senior staff.

Perry announced Monday that he has named Felix Browne as director of communications and Hugh Addington as director of scheduling and advance.

Browne takes over for outgoing communications director Mark Miner, who plans to continue advising the governor from the private sector. Addington is replacing Karen Kolb Steakley, who is returning to the Governor’s Legislative Division.

Browne previously worked for former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, as well as former U.S. Senator Scott Brown.

Addington has spent the past nine years as a private event and public relations consultant to various governmental and political organizations.

“I am pleased to have Felix and Hugh on board to help us continue to spread the message of low taxes, smart regulations, fair courts, and a skilled workforce as the keys to our economic future – both as a state and a nation,” said Perry. “Mark and Karen have been indispensable members of my team, and I am thankful for their continued counsel.”
