A Texas DPS trooper in the Panhandle seized more than 100 pounds of marijuana during a weekend traffic stop.

The trooper stopped a 2013 Volkswagen Passat heading eastbound on Interstate 40 near Bushland in Potter County at around 3:30 p.m. Sunday.

During a search of the vehicle, the trooper found 107 bundles of marijuana in the trunk of the vehicle, valued at more than $484,000.

Twenty-two year-old Vianca Lizeth Casas of Livingston, California, and 28-year-old Carlos Castrejon of Winton, California, were placed under arrest for possession of a controlled substance.

The drugs were reportedly being transported from Livingston, California to Dallas.
